Imagination — In The Heat Of The Night
Produced by Tony Swain & Steve Jolley

With outrageous outfits and a distinctive sound, Imagination hit the British music scene with a big splash in 1981 with their impressive debut Body Talk. This sophomore effort was no disappointment with Just An Illusion, the lead off single, becoming Imagination's biggest hit. Imagination's music is built around lead singer Leee John's falsetto and bassist Ashley Ingram's "three dimensional" bass. Producer Tony Swain's acoustic piano solos add a jazz appeal to the deep grooves. The piano solo on Heart 'N Soul is particularly impressive as Swain works up to a climactic frenzy.
